The Legacy Fund is a component of the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program. It provides funding for community-initiated capital projects, intended for community use. Recipients may receive up to 50 per cent of eligible project expenses up to a maximum of $500,000.
To be eligible for funding, your organization must have been in existence for at least two years, plan to continue operating after this project’s completion, and be one of the following:
A local band council, local tribal council, or other local Indigenous government (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis)
