Cooperative Association Act Review - Stage 2 - Focused Feedback

Last updated on January 3, 2023

Cooperative associations (or “co-ops”) are corporations owned by the people who use and benefit from them. Learn more about them here.

This past summer, the Ministry of Finance launched the first stage of a two-stage consultation process. Specifically, we asked for your suggestions on how to improve and modernize the Cooperative Association Act. The Ministry received 26 submissions containing multiple suggestions for improvements that are discussed in the consultation paper below. During stage two, we now ask for your thoughts on those suggestions.
