Ways you can show your teaching certificate is valid
There are three options to demonstrate your certificate is in good standing. You can:
- Ask your current or potential school employer to search for your name in the online registry of certified teachers or to log in to the Employers' Area to verify the status of your certificate
- Download a digital copy of your certificate from Your Account
- Request a printed version of your certificate by logging in to Your Account and submitting a certificate request form
Request proof of certification for award nominations
Send an email to request a letter that confirms the good standing of a teacher being nominated for an award. Include the following information:
- The name and certificate number of the teacher being nominated
- To whom the confirmation letter should be sent along with an address
Request proof of previous teacher certification
If you previously held a British Columbia teaching certificate, you can request a letter that confirms your past certification. Log in to Your Account to complete and submit the certificate request form.
