Find your renewal application pathway
It is your responsibility to maintain your certification with the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Registry.
- You are encouraged to submit a complete renewal application to the ECE Registry 2-4 months before your certificate expiry date to allow for assessment time
- Your certificate expiry date can be found on the bottom right corner of your certificate
- If your certificate expires you will not be qualified under the Child Care Licensing Regulation to work in licensed child care as an ECE Assistant, ECE, Infant and Toddler Educator (ITE), and/or Special Needs Educator (SNE) until your certificate is renewed
The ECE Registry cannot assess your renewal application until all required documents are received. Prevent delays in the assessment of your application by following the steps outlined on your renewal pathway. Renewal requirements vary depending on your certificate type and if it is valid or expired.
