Workshops and Presentations

• The BC BIG team runs introductory workshops and presentations to ministries in the BC Public Service. Learn more about our offerings by searching "behavioural insights" through the Learning Centre.

BI Boot Camp

• Our extended boot camp teaches participants about behavioural insights and challenges them to apply this learning to real-world problems.
• Previous boot camps have examined how to:
  • Help British Columbians prepare for an emergency
  • Reduce the number of people who overdose
  • Reduce youth unemployment
  • Reduce energy consumption

Conferences

• We frequently partner with behavioural insights practitioners and academics in other jurisdictions to offer opportunities to learn, share, and network.
• We co-host an annual conference called BIG Difference BC. Visit the BIG Difference BC website to see recordings of past presentations, and find out more about the 2022 event, scheduled for November 4th. 

Advanced Professional Certificate in Behavioural Insights

• Together with a nationwide steering committee, UBC Sauder Decision Insights for Business and Society (DIBS), UBC Sauder Continuing Business Studies, and the BC Behavioural Insights Group (BC BIG) are excited to announce the launch of a new training opportunity for aspiring behavioural insights practitioners! • UBC-DIBS offers other training and seminars, including a two-week Fundamentals of Behavioural Insights course that is required before beginning the certificate program.
