Kaitlyn is responsible for generating publication-quality map products, designing mobile mapping applications, performing analysis and code development while providing data integration, database management, and cartographic support to the Survey.

Expertise

Kaitlyn joined the BCGS in 2022. Kaitlyn provides GIS expertise to support geoscience staff and generate publication-quality maps and figures. She also develops mobile mapping solutions for integrating GIS analysis with other geospatial and geoscience-based information while expanding code development and automation practices. Additionally, she creates standardization procedures for efficient data transfer and database management, provides training and maintains awareness of research related to emerging technologies. 

Kaitlyn also has experience in geospatial data evaluation, GIS mapping, database management, and lidar and imagery processing for provincial and industry projects across Canada and the U.S.
