Paulina is responsible for standardizing bedrock mapping products, validating geological data, developing applications, and supporting the BCGS critical minerals initiative.

Expertise

Paulina joined the BCGS in December 2022. Previously Paulina was a GIS Analyst with GeoBC, and a Climate Change Mitigation Modeler with the Pacific Forestry Centre, Natural Resources Canada. Paulina has developed interactive web applications, completed geospatial data analysis using automated scripts, and generated cartographically enhanced maps. With a background in physical and human geography, forestry, geomatics, and remote sensing, Paulina has conducted research that used lidar-initialized growth-and-yield models to forecast carbon accumulation in mixed-wood forests. She is an avid coder in R, Python, HTML/CSS.
