What signs must I post if I want to sell tobacco or vapour products?

The Ministry of Health has updated the requirement for warning signs required by tobacco and vapour product retailers. As of April 1, 2026, retailers who sell tobacco products, vapour products or tobacco and vapour products will be required to display the same warning sign. Please see the following notice to retailers for more information:

Anyone selling tobacco or vapour products must post two mandated warning signs at your cash till or point of sale. You must use only the signs provided by the Ministry of Health. Please contact your local health authority to receive your copies of the new signs.

All retailers who sell tobacco products, vapour products, or tobacco and vapour products are required to display the following signs:

1. One sign faces the customers and informs them they must be at least 19 years of age to buy vapour products. Tobacco and Vapour Signage for Customers
