Contractor vaccination notice

Last updated on April 17, 2024

As of April 3, 2023, vaccination requirements have been updated for contractor and subcontractor personnel of the BC Provincial Government. For more information please refer to the vaccine requirements in the BC Public Service.

COVID-19 vaccination: contractors and other parties

For most BC Public Service workplaces, proof of vaccination is no longer required for parties entering a staff-only area of an indoor public service workplace. This includes visitors, student placements, interns, staff from other employers and more.

A few BC Public Service workplaces still require contactor vaccination or other prevention measures in all areas of their workplace due to Provincial Health Officer orders (PDF, 536KB).

These workplaces include:

  • Maples Adolescent Treatment
  • Burnaby Inpatient Assessment Unit
  • Forensic Psychiatric Hospital
  • Community health care clinics provided by ministries

Review the vaccine requirements FAQs for more information.

Supports for Contractor Managers

Contract managers can contact the BC Public Service Agency Workplace Health and Safety by submitting an AskMyHR request using the category COVID-19 Contractor Vaccination for further advice.
