Security industry licensing reconsideration

You can request the Registrar reconsider a decision to:

  • Deny you a licence
  • Apply conditions to your licence, or
  • Suspend or cancel your licence

Your request must be in writing and it must be received by the Registrar no later than 30 days after you received the decision.

The request must identify the error you believe was made or the grounds on which you believe the Registrar’s decision should be reconsidered.

If a special circumstance prevents you from making your request within the 30 day time limit, the Registrar may choose to extend the time you have to file your request.

Once the Registrar receives your written request for reconsideration, the Registrar will confirm, change, or cancel the original decision. You will be sent a letter explaining the Registrar’s decision.
