B.C. residents may receive congratulatory messages from officials for significant birthdays and wedding anniversaries.

You can request a congratulatory message up to six months before or after the occasion date. To ensure the congratulatory message is received on time, please send your request as far in advance of the occasion date as possible.

Only requests for messages from The King require proof of eligibility, such as a copy of a birth or wedding certificate.

Request a congratulatory message from:

His Majesty King Charles III

  • Birthday: 100th (and every year after)
  • Anniversary: 60th (and every year after)
  • Ensure proof is attached, such as a copy of a birth or wedding certificate

Governor General of Canada

  • Birthday: 90th (and every five years after)
    Anniversary: 50th (and every five years after)

Prime Minister of Canada

  • Birthday: 75th (and every five years after)
  • Anniversary: 25th (and every five years after)

Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia

  • Birthday: 90th (and every year after)
  • Anniversary: 50th (and every year after)

Premier of British Columbia

  • Birthday: 75th (and every year after)
  • Anniversary: 25th (and every year after)

Leader of the Official Opposition of British Columbia

  • Birthday: 75th (and every year after)
  • Anniversary: 25th (and every year after)

Member of the Legislative Assembly (M.L.A.)
