Tenures

Tenures are used by the government to transfer specific rights for using Crown forest and resources to others. Under a tenure agreement, private forest companies, communities and individuals can harvest timber in public forests.

Timber Tenures

There are many different kinds of agreements for occupying Crown land and harvesting timber, and also for harvesting timber on private land. In some cases, annual rent is charged for the tenure.
