The company only uses the highest quality ingredients in all of their desserts, such as 100% dairy fresh whipping cream, pure fruit fillings and blends of European chocolate. The Original Cakerie offers an extensive range of dessert products, including: single layer cakes, such as nana’s banana cake and pecan streusel cake; two layer cakes, including gluten-free dark and white chocolate cake and boston cream cake; three layer cakes, such as super size tiramisu and super size mango mousse; dessert bars and brownies, like their lemonburst macaroon bar; as well as combination and variety packs of various bars, brownies and cakes.

All products are Kosher certified, and the company is committed to using all natural flavours and colours, with no artificial trans fats. The Original Cakerie desserts are produced in a certified British Retail Consortium (BRC) industrial bakery that has been awarded an ‘A’ rating in its last two audits, ensuring product safety.

The Original Cakerie was established in 1979 in Victoria by founders Doug McFetridge and Kent Norris, as a small bakery producing high-quality desserts for local restaurants. After years of growth, in 2009, The Original Cakerie greatly expanded their production capacity, and in 2015, Gryphon Investors purchased the company from the founders. The company has implemented internal programs for reducing, reusing and recycling materials and lowering energy use.
