The company focuses on two key product lines — Tortilla Chips and Salsas. Their line of gluten-free, artisan Tortilla Chips are made from whole corn kernels that are ground with real Mexican lava stones, and are available in varieties including: yellow; white corn; red corn; blue corn; purple corn; black bean; and ancient grains. Que Pasa also offers Mexicana Salsas made from tomatoes, onions and a unique blend of spices, in both mild and medium flavours, as well as their chipotle salsa, with a smoky flavour derived from dried and smoked jalapeño peppers.

All products are USDA Certified Organic and made without artificial colours or preservatives. Que Pasa is committed to providing safe food through their combination of careful ingredient selection, sanitary manufacturing practices and microbiological monitoring, having received a Safe Quality Food (SQF) score of 96 out of 100 on their latest audit. The company continues to build and maintain a systematic, documented Quality Management System based on the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles and SQF System codes.

Established in 1982 in Richmond, Que Pasa was founded as a family-owned business. In 2012, when the founders decided to retire, they sold the company to Nature’s Path, a similarly-minded B.C. business that would continue their organic tradition. The company is strongly committed to sustainability, demonstrated by their goals of becoming a carbon neutral and zero waste business, their extensive sustainability programs, and their recognition as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers. In addition to their work with various environmental organizations, Que Pasa also organizes an annual fundraiser to support local food banks that has been acknowledged as one of the top food drives by Food Banks Canada.
