BC Public Service employees are committed to maintaining and enhancing the trust and confidence of British Columbians. In support of the ethics framework, resources are available to help employees understand their unique roles and responsibilities, and equip them with the knowledge and resources to make informed decisions.
There are four compliance courses that BC Public Service employees are required to complete. These courses ensure that all employees have a clear understanding of workplace expectations and they are familiar with the Standards of Conduct and other core policies. Compliance with the information in all four courses is directly linked to employees' telework agreements.
This e-learning course supports employees to annually review the Standards of Conduct, Oath of Employment, Appropriate Use Policy and Public Interest Disclosure Act. This review helps employees reaffirm what they already know, and remind employees of the role they play in upholding ethics in the BC Public Service, and speaking up when things don’t feel right.
A short e-learning course that we hope will help employees understand the BC Public Service definition of diversity and inclusion, identify the policy and legislation that guide the work, and show how both diversity and inclusion align with BC Public Service values.
An e-learning course to familiarize or refresh government employees with information management requirements and introduce practices and controls that will empower employees to act as good stewards of the information they create and receive. The course focuses on records management requirements, the proactive disclosure of information, the duty to assist an FOI (Freedom of Information) applicant, conducting a proper search for records, information security and our collective privacy obligations, including what to do in the event of an information incident or privacy breach.
This e-learning course provides employees with the training to:

Employees can access all required compliance courses and ethics-related learning through the Learning HUB (IDIR restricted).
