Adopt a Highway Volunteer Safety
Last updated on July 23, 2021Safety is paramount - and for that reason, the ministry provides safety vests, signage and a safety checklist for those working on roadways. Here are some steps volunteers will need to take:
- Watch the volunteer safety tips video
- Watch the invasive plant spotting and reporting video
- Become familiar with the the COVID-19 safety guidelines and general safety guidelines
- Review and refer to the safety checklist (PDF)
- Review the invasive plants Adopt a Highway Fact Sheet
- Request invasive plant training through your district or area invasive species committee
