Transportation and infrastructure community funding opportunities help communities and groups expand, maintain and upgrade infrastructure and promote employment and economic growth.
Airport Infrastructure Funding
The Province supports the development of B.C.'s community airports through cost-sharing programs and funding for projects such as runway extensions, terminal building expansions and lighting and navigational system upgrades.
Cycling Infrastructure Funding
To encourage healthy living and to help address climate change, we’re cost-sharing cycling infrastructure projects such as bike lanes, separated bike paths, shared roadways, shoulder bikeways and bicycle/pedestrian overpasses with local government.
Highway 16 Community Transportation Funding
A cost sharing program has been set up to improve transportation for communities along the Highway 16 corridor from Prince Rupert to Prince George.

New Building Canada Fund – Small Communities Fund
Under the New Building Canada Fund – Small Communities Fund (NBCF-SCF) the provincial and the federal governments will each allocate approximately $109 million to support infrastructure projects in communities with a population of less than 100,000 people.
This 10-year funding program runs from 2014 to 2024.
