Who can get a protection order?
Last updated on June 21, 2021A family law protection order can protect you from another family member. Usually a protection order will be made against a spouse.
A protection order can also protect your child (or children). If there are extended family members living in the home, and they require protection, a protection order could protect them as well.

Dial 911 in an emergency. If your community does not have 911 services, call your local police.
