Victoria – The BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced today that there is no longer a reasonable
prospect of conviction regarding charges that had previously been approved against two members
of the Prince George RMCP involved in the arrest of Dale Culver on July 18, 2017, in Prince George.

Victoria – The BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced that no charges have been approved against an officer with the Vancouver Police Department involved in a non-fatal use of force on May 30, 2022.

BC Prosecution Service - Announces Appointment of Special Prosecutor
Victoria – The BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced today that John M. Gordon KC has been appointed as a Special Prosecutor involving an investigation being conducted by the Port Moody Police Department (PMPD) into allegations of campaign finance irregularities in West Vancouver Mayor Mark Sager’s campaign for the municipal election held in October 2022.

Victoria – The BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced today that no charges have been approved against an officer with the Vancouver Police Department involved in a collision with a suspected stolen vehicle on March 3, 2020.

Victoria – The BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced today that a stay of proceedings has been entered on a charge of assault causing bodily harm that had been laid against Cst. Simon Courtoreille of the Abbotsford Police Department.

Special Prosecutor approves assault charges following Vancouver investigation
Victoria – The BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced today that Chris Johnson KC has been appointed as a Special Prosecutor following an investigation by the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) into assaults which allegedly occurred on February 2, 2024, near the provincial courthouse at 222 Main Street. One of the alleged victims is a Crown Counsel, employed with the BCPS.

Victoria – The BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced today that Assistant Deputy Attorney General (ADAG), Peter Juk KC, will retire from the BC public service, stepping down as head of the BCPS effective March 15, 2024.

Victoria – The BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced today that a charge of assault has been approved against Vancouver Special Municipal Constable (SMC) Omar Ahmed Flores following an incident that is alleged to have occurred at the Vancouver Police Department jail on January 7, 2023.
