With reference to your letter of February 22, 1988, regarding the use of a specific type of fitting, in a wet vent system.

The details submitted show a tee with a concentric 8 taper from 2 inch diameter to 11/2 inch. The fitting is to be used as illustrated under Clause 5.2.1.(1)(j) of the Plumbing Code, at the point of intersection between the wet vent and the continuous vent. We do not consider the fitting indicated as contravening the Code for this purpose.
