Re: Connection of Stove to Flue

With reference to your letter of January 15, 1990, regarding the connection of a flue pipe to an existing masonry chimney.

The information submitted indicates a change from 6 inch diameter to 7 inch in the flue pipe, at the connection. We do not consider this to be prohibited by the Building Code; your installation is therefore acceptable.
