Aboriginal Children & Teens in Need of Care in BC

Last updated on July 5, 2023

Research and experience indicates that children who grow up connected to their culture do better. Aboriginal children and teens feel more at home when they live with a family that helps them stay in touch with their culture and community.

If you're an Aboriginal or non-Aboriginal adult (19+ years old), consider sharing your home and life with a child in need and apply to be a foster caregiver. You don't have to be married, be a parent, own a home, or have lots of money – you don't have to be a Status Indian, either.
