We've reorganized and simplified content about security industry licensing. Things may look different, but policies and processes haven't changed.

Read updates about security licensing in B.C.

Changes to security licences

As of May 2022, you may notice small changes to security industry licences.

On new licences:

The material is PVC
The finish is glossy
Printing is not tactile
Photos are higher quality

Otherwise, licences continue to look the same as before.

Front of licence:

Front of security worker licence shows the name, licence type, photo, issue date and expiry date

Back of licence:

Back of security worker licence shows the licence conditions, physical description of security worker and scannable bar code
