View and analyze hundreds of map data layers compiled from across the B.C. Government and other public sector agencies.
There are currently 2 versions of iMapBC: iMapBC 4 Mobile, which is HTML5 based and will work with all modern browsers (including mobile devices), and the original iMapBC 2.0, which requires a Silverlight plug-in (not compatible with all browsers).
iMapBC 4 Mobile
This HTML5 version of iMapBC is designed for users of iPads, iPhones and Android devices. It is open to public users, provides access to a large quantity of B.C. Government data, and features the most popular tools of the iMapBC 2 Silverlight version. This will eventually become the only version of iMapBC. once all required functionality included in the Silverlight version has been recreated in the HTML5 version.
Use this version of iMapBC to view and analyze the thousands of geographic datasets stored in the B.C. Geographic Warehouse, upload your own map data and print or email the results of your work. This version has a more robust tool set, but requires the Silverlight plug-in, which is not supported by all browsers. Once the HTML5 version has all required tools (anticipated late 2017), this version will be retired.
