All executive leases have full collision and comprehensive coverage in addition to $2 million third party liability; therefore, ANY accident, incident, or act of vandalism MUST be reported to Holman via email, by the operator, regardless of who is at fault.
If the executive lease operator is not at fault, ICBC will assume the entire cost of repair with no deductible payable. However, if the executive lease operator is at fault the following deductibles, payable by the ministry to the repair facility, apply:
Executive lease operators MUST also contact police in all cases of injury or death, total damage exceeding $1,000 ($600 if motorcycle involved), any hit and run damage, or when directed by ICBC.
In August and October of each year Holman sends out notices to most organizations with commercial fleet vehicles as a reminder of the requirement for commercial fleet vehicles to be inspected prior to the insurance being renewed. Each organization is responsible for ensuring the inspection is conducted and that vehicles failing the inspection are repaired and re-inspected. Visit the Vehicle Inspections and Standards webpage.
Ministries and health authorities (including the BC Ambulance Service and Community Living British Columbia) insurance is provided by the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia under a master policy issued to the Province.
Other organizations acquire insurance under separate policies.
Contact your fleet coordinator or, after-hours, call the Holman driver assistance number at 1 855 446-4274 prompt #4.
The Province of B.C. no longer maintains a service centre listing. The Holman vendor network provides maintenance and repair services for the government light vehicle fleet. The listing of the suppliers, both independent and those associated with a national account (e.g. tire shops), can be found by using the Holman Supplier Locator.
To arrange vehicle servicing the driver may contact one of the approved service centres in their area directly or may contact the Holman driver assistance number at 1 855-446-4274 prompt #3 for assistance in locating the centre best suited to do the servicing they require. Holman service technicians have complete information and pricing for each centre.
The service history of a vehicle is available on the Holman insights® website. Contact your ministry fleet coordinator for access to the Holman insights® website and apply for a password.
For additional information regarding the approved service centres or the Holman vendor network please contact your vehicle fleet coordinator or the email the Procurement Services Branch.
If a local vendor is not part of the Holman vendor network, and wishes to participate, they may contact Holman with the following information:
All new executive leased vehicles and monthly rentals acquired under the government master standing offer agreements are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. The minimum basic warranty programs provide coverage for at least 3 years / 60,000 km.
Some manufacturers are also providing power train warranty coverage of 5 - 7 years / 100,000 – 112,000 km on select models, which may be subject to a $100 deductible charge, depending on the manufacturer.
Due to the variety and complexity of warranty programs and in order to accurately determine warrantable items and ensure expedient repairs are done by the appropriate facility, Procurement Services Branch is advising vehicle operators to consult with Holman using the driver assistance number at 1 855 446-4274 prompt #3, prior to calling the Manufacturer’s Roadside Assistance Program or directing repairs to a specific service centre.
Contact the Holman driver assistance number at 1 855-446-4274 prompt #2 for roadside assistance
