Mar 9, 2011 - $32M in Gaming Grants Support B.C.'s Most Vulnerable

Last updated on October 22, 2018

More than 1,700 groups that deliver programs that enhance and support services to children, youth, and a variety of British Columbians in need are receiving more than $32 million in community gaming grants.

The total includes the extra three-month transition funding announced last week for organizations facing a delay between their grant payments for this fiscal year and next.

This round of funding builds on $29.7 million provided to 870 other human and social services sector organizations earlier this year, including $19.7 million under multi-year funding commitments, bringing the total grants committed to the sector in 2010/11 to almost $62 million.
