Re: Handicap Access to Addition, Sentence 3.7.4.1.(4)

With reference to your letter of November 16, 1987, regarding the application of Section 3.7. from the Code.

The information submitted shows a 2 storey horizontal addition to an existing building, and the addition has internal pedestrian connections with the existing building.

We consider that Clauses 3.7.4.1.(1)(a) and (b) apply, and require access in accordance with Articles 3.7.4.2. to 3.7.4.8. We do not regard the exemption provisions in Sentence 3.7.4.1.(4) as applicable for this situation.
