Please see below for the most up-to-information on the current requirements for our programs. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, additional Driver Improvement Program policy and guideline considerations have been added. Addendum to December 2017 DIP Policies and Guidelines Pertaining to COVID19 Considerations 

  • Payment options are available online, by mail and by phone at 604-661-2240. Partial payment options or payment by installments is also available online or by phone. There is no minimum amount.
  • The payment timeline for clients that have a court imposed fine related to Provincial Court is extended to June 30, 2020.
  • Ticket Disputes can also be made by mail if clients are not able to drop off their dispute forms in person at a provincial court registry or at an ICBC driver licensing office.
  • Clients without access to scanners or printers can file a dispute without completing the Violation Ticket Notice of Dispute form or a copy of the VT; however, they will need to provide all relevant information in writing by mail, including the VT# and their signature.

 

  • Until further notice, all request for medical information, including Driver Medical Examination Reports have been temporarily postponed
  • RoadSafetyBC will re-assess at a future date and follow up with you via letter, and will implement these requirements when it is safe to do so.

  • Stroh Health Care is working to provide alternate delivery methods for the Responsible Driver Program. 
  • Please contact them at 1-800-948-4912 or info@strohhealth.com to make arrangements to participate in the program. 
  • In the event that your service provider location is closed, Smart Start is able to issue 5-day extension codes.
  • If you have been referred to the Ignition Interlock Program between February 1 – March 15, 2020 you will receive a 90-day extension on top of your 45-day deadline to have the device installed.
  • If your interlock term is over and you are unable to have the device removed due to the service provider being closed, you will not be charged for the additional time the device is installed.
