Keith Road/Seymour Parkway Interchange

Keith Road/Seymour Parkway Interchange provides access to Highway 1, and is an important East/West connection for North Shore residents. The new Interchange has improved safety and reduced traffic interruptions with ramp reconfigurations and improved traffic flow along Keith Road to Mount Seymour Parkway.

The Keith Road/Seymour Parkway Interchange project included:

  • Construction of a new overpass over Highway 1 connecting Keith Road and Mt. Seymour Parkway;
  • Reconfiguration of ramps
  • Reconfiguration of the Lillooet/Keith/Mt. Seymour intersection
  • Tie-in to the District of North Vancouver's Keith Road widening project
  • Improved cycling and pedestrian facilities
  • Better accommodation for transit vehicles and stops

Status

Construction started Fall 2018 - completed Fall 2021  

Milestones:

  • Demolition of the Fern Street Underpass: Completed Winter 2021
  • New Keith Road Underpass accommodating 2 lanes of traffic: Completed Winter 2021
  • New Keith Road Underpass opening: Completed Summer 2021
  • Lynnnmour sound wall: Completed Summer 2021
  • Keith Rd at Fern Street sound wall: Completed Fall 2021
