Filing the BC-08, Marketable Gas and By-Product Producer Allocations Report
The information reported on a BC-08 is used to calculate the royalties and taxes payable for a production period. It is also used to report field condensate sales.
You submit a BC-08 to report your reporting interest of:
- marketable natural gas volumes available for sale from your well events or tracts in a Production Entity (PE)
- volumes and values of natural gas by-products sold from each of your well events or tracts in a Production Entity (PE)
You will receive a royalty/tax invoice for each production period reported.
You must file your BC-08 by the last day of the second month following the month the marketable natural gas was produced.
If the due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or statutory holiday, the due date is the next business day.
If you file your reports after the due date, you will be charged late filing penalties.
BC-08 reports on paper will not be accepted.
If you need to amend your BC-08, complete only the full UWI record for volumes or values that are being corrected. You don't have to fill out the entire form when you resubmit it. Please read the guidelines (PDF) for further information.
Keep working papers and supporting documentation until you obtain written permission for their disposal in the event that you are audited.
