Community Resilience Funding Recipients

As a pilot, the Community Resilience Through Arts and Culture program explores how community engagement, resilience and vibrancy can be supported in  communities and First Nations around B.C. through the connecting and restorative power of arts and culture.

Through the 2018 pilot first round intake, the Province distributed $535,000 to 61 projects in 55 unique communities around British Columbia. Additional projects also received funding through our partnership with the Canadian Red Cross in wildfire-affected communities through their Community Partnerships program.

Each project reflected the unique character of the community, highlighting the many volunteers, artists, cultural administrators, community organizers and knowledge keepers that conceptualize, create and turn these moments of connection and celebration into a long-enduring legacy.
