COVID Colouring Contest

We wanted to see your colouring skills, and you didn't disappoint! Hundreds of youth, and those young at heart, submitted their artwork to win a prize. And your talent and enthusiasm blew us away! Although it was a very hard decision, we're excited to announce the winners in each category.

Prizes

The winner in each category will receive a deluxe 4-person family emergency kit and a set of battery-powered walkie-talkies. Winning artwork will also be featured on the PreparedBC Facebook and Twitter channels.

Who Could Enter?

The colouring contest was open to youth in grades K-12 and to those young at heart. Submissions were organized into four categories:

  • Kindergarten to Grade 3
  • Grade 4-8
  • Grade 9-12
  • Adult

How did they Enter?

  1. Artists chose one of the three colouring pages linked above and printed it out.
  2. They coloured it increativity was encouraged!
  3. They added their name and selected a category at the bottom of the sheet.
  4. They scanned or photographed their completed artwork.
  5. They submitted their entry one of three ways:
    1. Emailed it to masterofdisaster@gov.bc.ca.
    2. Sent it to us on Facebook by commenting on the contest post or as a private message.
    3. Sent it to us on Twitter as a reply to the contest post or as a direct message.
  6. Winners were contacted and asked to complete a consent form giving PreparedBC permission to disclose the artist's name and publish their artwork.

Contest Rules 

  • Contest was open to residents of B.C. only.
  • Entries were limited to one per person.
  • One winner was selected from each of the four submission categories.
  • All submissions needed to include the name and age category of the artist.
  • Winners were contacted and asked to complete a consent form giving PreparedBC permission to disclose the artist's name and publish their artwork.
