Innovative B.C. entrepreneurs in the agrifood and seafood sector can access programs that support the growth and expansion of their startups and/or existing businesses. The programs provide innovators with tools and expertise to build strong and competitive companies.
The B.C. Agrifood Venture Acceleration Program provides training, one-on-one coaching and a network that empowers start-up and early stage agrifood technology entrepreneurs to maximize commercialization opportunities and accelerate growth. The Agrifood Venture Acceleration Program is supported by British Columbia’s growing and successful technology sector.
The Agrifood Venture Acceleration Program is based in Mission, B.C., and is delivered by the Sumas Regional Consortium for High Tech, a non-profit organization founded to attract and support technology entrepreneurs within B.C.’s Fraser Valley.
Bioenterprise BC is a business accelerator that supports the commercialization of innovations in agriculture and helps increase agri-food revenue. Bioenterprise BC provides selected high growth agrifood and seafood businesses, including food processors and agritech companies, with advanced commercialization services, including market analysis, funding guidance and mentoring that will help accelerate their growth. Bioenterprise will also provide these businesses with access to its extensive international business, investor, and science advisory networks.
Bioenterprise brings to British Columbia extensive international business, investor, and science advisory networks that will benefit the most promising agrifood and seafood ventures.
Bioenterprise BC operates through a service delivery model that is highly integrative and collaborative with the services of other organizations in B.C., including the Sumas Regional Consortium for High Tech (SRCTec) and the BC Acceleration Network – BC Innovation Council.
