R41 - New Payer Inquiry (PHN Inquiry)
This business service allows external organizations to confirm that the Personal Health Number (PHN)that they have matches the name, birthdate and gender information that the ministry has associated with the PHN. Up to 10 PHN’s can be verified at one time.
This business service is available to authorized organizations and health care providers who deliver health services, as well as to MSP Group Plan Administrators.
This business service confirms for an employer that the PHN they have for a person is correct and that the person is a beneficiary. It also confirms Student status.
Access to this business service requires Ministry of Health approval and a signed Data Access Agreement (DAA), or Service Level Agreement (SLA), between the organization and the ministry.
