Laboratory Services Act Decisions
On October 1, 2015, the Laboratory Services Act (LSA) came into force. Under the LSA, the Minister of Health is responsible for the governance and accountability, audit, service delivery, and compensation for all publicly funded laboratory services in BC.
When strategic and operational decisions are made in association with laboratory services, such as provincial policies and guidelines, fee-for-service payment schedules, and public and private facilities that offer laboratory and/or specimen collection services, an official Record of Decision is created and the content is made available to the public.
This section of the Laboratory Services website provides summaries of the following Records of Decision:
- Laboratory Services Payment Schedule Fee-for-Service Updates
- Laboratory and Specimen Collection Station Facility Updates
- Provincial Policies and Guidelines Updates Under the LSA
