Once you submit an exemption (currently a form via email - but we're working on improving it!) with the supporting documents, it will get reviewed for completeness and you will get an email notification requesting more information or letting you know it has being assigned.
The exemption request will then get assigned to an OCIO Architect.
The OCIO Architect will do any required research, consultations and may contact you. The architect will then write up a briefing note, including a recommendation, to pass on for the CIO's approval.
The CIO will then make a decision (approve or not approve) based on the Architect's recommendation.
You will be notified via email of the decision plus any supporting rationale. If there are conditions stipulated for the exemption, there will be follow-up at a later date (e.g. 6 months, or 1 year)
