Shredding - OFF Site

This supply arrangement is for the secure OFF-site destruction (shredding) of protected documents.

OFF-site shredding services are defined as the secure pick-up of paper-based documents (excluding computer storage media or any non-paper materials) from the purchaser's site and transportation to the contractor's plant for shredding and eventual recycling.

There is also a CSA for ON-Site Shredding Services.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

The previous CSAs for Document Destruction (formerly held by Iron Mountain and Shred-it) expired on October 15, 2017.

Corporate Policy requires that ministries use the new CSA, which commenced on October 2, 2017, and only use that CSA’s sole vendor, which is now Shred-it International ULC. Broader Public Sector organizations should also switch to the new CSA and new vendor in order to be covered by a contract and to obtain the current CSA pricing.

If your office/organization presently has bins owned by Iron Mountain (or the former Recall), you will need to submit a Draw Down (order form) to Shred-it International ULC to obtain your new bins.  Once you receive confirmation of your delivery date of your new bins from Shred-it, you then must also close your account with Iron Mountain. To close your account, send your Name, Phone #, Email AND your Iron Mountain Customer # (and Iron Mountain Dept #, if available) to VancouverCSteam@ironmountain.com and advise Iron Mountain that you are closing your account. Refer to an Iron Mountain invoice or service slip for your Customer number and Dept number. If you don’t have an invoice, contact your finance department to obtain one.

You may continue to use Iron Mountain's bins after October 15, 2017 so long as you are in the process of submitting a Draw Down (order form) for the new CSA and are awaiting delivery of Shred-it’s bins.

If you already have containers provided by Shred-it, you need take no action – your containers will continue to be serviced at the new pricing found on this webpage.
