Confidence and Supply Agreement Secretariat
On June 29, 2017 the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia asked Premier John Horgan to form government on the assurance of having the confidence of the Legislative Assembly. The Confidence and Supply Agreement (CASA), signed on May 30, 2017 by representatives of the BC New Democrat Caucus and the BC Green Caucus, forms the basis for the BC Green Caucus’ and independent MLA Andrew Weaver’s confidence in government.
The CASA Secretariat is a small office dedicated to organizing and facilitating government’s consultations with
- The BC Green Caucus as contemplated by the 2017 CASA; and
- MLA Weaver in the spirit of the 2017 CASA and as contemplated by the January 2020 letters between MLA Weaver and Premier Horgan.
The CASA Secretariat
- Ensures progress on the wide range of priority initiatives outlined in the CASA
- Ensures consultations are managed efficiently and according to government policies and regulations.
