Protect your device

Your iPhone, iPad or Android must have device protection enabled to set up the BC Services Card app. For example, on an iPhone or iPad you may have a device passcode or Touch ID to unlock your device.

This is for your protection. Anyone that can unlock your mobile device could use the app to:

  • See your identity information that is displayed on your BC Services Card
  • Access your data by using the app to log in
  • Access government services as you
  • See your account activity

Tips to secure your device

  • Keep your passcode confidential
  • Set your passcode to something that is not easily guessed
  • Only register your fingerprints on this device
  • Set your device to limit passcode attempts
  • Set your device to lock after a short period of inactivity
