The mobile card will be available to B.C.’s general public in the future; at this time it is being piloted with select participants.
A mobile card is a representation of a BC Services Card stored on an iPhone, iPad, or Android mobile device. Only your name and a unique identifier is stored on the mobile device. You can use your mobile card to access participating government services online when you log in with a BC Services Card.
Set up a Mobile Card
To get started you need to set up your BC Services Card as a mobile card. Only a BC Services Card with a photo can be set up as a mobile card at this time.
Login with Your Mobile Card
Your mobile card can be used to log in to participating government services or your BC Services Card Account. You can use a mobile card instead of using a card reader and passcode.
Protect Your Device
Anyone that can unlock your mobile device could use your mobile card to:
- See your identity information
- Access your data
- Access government services as you
When you set up your mobile card in the BC Services Card app, the app will prompt you to allow notifications. It’s recommended you allow the BC Services Card app to receive push notifications. By having notifications enabled you'll be able to remember a paired device to use the next time you log in.
