Blue Goose Cattle Company (Blue Goose) is one of the world’s largest producers of organic and premium beef products.
New to international export, Blue Goose’s commitment to creating premium, organic beef products, is maintained from top to bottom throughout production. Calves are raised by their mothers until they are weaned, and then they have free range to forage on organic pasture. Additionally, Blue Goose strives to provide the highest standards of animal feed and care, meaning animals are: unmedicated beyond vaccinations for disease prevention; receive a l00% vegetarian finishing feed free of added antibiotics and growth hormones; and are processed at a government certified slaughterhouse. A 5% Organic barley is added to the finishing feed for grass-fed beef products.
The custom grain finished beef that results from these efforts has no artificial additives or preservatives, contains Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, and is noted for its exquisite tenderness. Product safety is ensured through federally inspected facilities that run a full Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) program.
Blue Goose was established in 2004 in North Vancouver. They are a family-owned, working cattle ranch, situated in the semi-remote South Cariboo region of British Columbia, responsible for the management and stewardship of 1.5 million acres of deeded and bought lands. The ranch has implemented innovative land stewardship plans that will help protect healthy ecosystems for years to come, including preserving healthy forests and grasslands, diverse plant communities, clean water and wildlife habitat. The company is certified organic and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Organic, and their strict protocols for animal welfare have earned them a 4/5 rating under the Global Animal Partnership requirements.
