Mari-Ad-Mare Food Ltd. (Mari-Ad-Mare) is a family-run farm that exports high-quality blueberries.
All blueberries are harvested from their 80-acre farm located next to Burns Bog, a wetland ecosystem that is home to a variety of plant, animal and insect species. It is the largest raised peat bog on the West Coast, which makes their farmland very rich in soil matter and perfect for producing high-quality blueberries. This location also offers more sunshine than any other region in the Lower Mainland, creating ideal conditions for healthy plant growth and great tasting blueberries.
The company offers bulk fresh blueberries for export, as well as Individually Quick Frozen blueberries through their packer. Blueberries are considered a superfood – they are low in calories, but high in nutrients such as fiber, vitamin C, and vitamin K. They also contain one of the highest antioxidant capacities of any fruit or vegetable, which helps maintain good health and prevent diseases. Mari-Ad-Mare is Costco certified and is currently working to obtain AgSafe certification, a provincial government program that recognizes and rewards employers for implementing effective Occupational Health and Safety policies. The company is proud to have met the CanadaGAP® Food Safety Program requirements, a certification that assures compliance to the CanadaGAP® standard for production of blueberries.
Established in 2015, Mari-Ad-Mare is a family-run business located in Delta. The company is committed to ethical and sustainable agriculture, ensuring products are healthy and safe, while also protecting and improving the natural environment. Through integrated pest management control, they have reduced the amount of pesticides typically used thus avoiding any biological disruption.
