The company produces a wide range of year-round, B.C.-grown greenhouse Tomatoes. Houweling’s signature heirloom tomatoes provide a traditional garden tomato taste and a delightful presentation, with different colours, textures and flavours, providing the perfect blend of sweetness and acidity. Houweling also offers a number of other tomato products, including their signature medley tomatoes and tomatoes on the vine, as well as varietals such as beefsteak, roma, cocktail, grape and strawberry.

Additionally, the company grows hand-picked long english seedless cucumbers, mini cucumbers and sweet bell peppers, all with a sweet, refreshing flavour and crunch. All product safety is ensured through CanadaGAP certified production and packing operations.

Originally established in 1956 as a greenhouse floral nursery in Langley, in 1985 growth of the company spurred a move to Delta, where they began growing and harvesting greenhouse tomatoes. Houweling’s Tomatoes is a family-owned business founded by Cornelius Houweling and now led by his son Casey. Houweling’s is dedicated to delivering a full complement of scrumptious tomatoes and cucumbers, while constantly innovating to reduce its environmental footprint.

For over 30 years, the company has been an industry leader in sustainable greenhouse farming practices, having invested in numerous technologies, including computer controlled irrigation, water treatment, and water re-circulation processes that vastly reduce water and fertilizer usage, while eliminating run-off. Additionally the company invested in low emission co-generation engines that produce electricity onsite while harnessing traditionally wasted heat and CO2, to help grow fresh tomatoes.
