CleanBC Industry Fund
The CleanBC Industry Fund (Fund) is managed by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy to support B.C.’s transition to a cleaner, stronger economy.
The Fund supports industry investments that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from large industrial operations.
It does so by investing some of the revenue from incremental carbon taxes paid by industry directly into industrial emission reduction projects, making B.C. industries cleaner and stronger. In the 2019/20 fiscal year, $12.5 million in funding is available for emission reduction projects.
The Program is only available to industrial reporting operations throughout British Columbia that report their emissions under the Greenhouse Gas Industrial Reporting and Control Act (i.e., those with attributable GHG emissions of 10,000 tonnes or more carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) per year, as prescribed in the Greenhouse Gas Emission Reporting Regulation).
