Extraprovincial Non-share Corporations
In B.C., an extraprovincial non-share corporation is a not-for-profit organization that has been incorporated or otherwise formed:
- Federally under an enactment of Canada
- In a province or territory other than B.C.
- In another country
Registration
An extraprovincial non-share corporation carrying on activities in B.C. must file a registration application through Societies Online.
Maintain a Registration
Once extraprovincial non-share corporations are registered, they need to maintain their registered status for as long as they carry on activities in B.C. This means filing annual reports and keeping their registered information up to date as required by the Societies Act.
