Termination of Cannabis Retail Store (CRS) applications

A CRS application may be terminated for various reasons. The most common are:

  • A local government or Indigenous Nation has informed the LCRB that they will not accept the application for consideration
  • A local government or Indigenous Nation does not support the application after consideration
  • The applicant has lost valid interest in the location for their planned store (lost lease, property foreclosure, etc.)
  • The application remains incomplete after repeated requests to the applicant to provide the required information by LCRB staff

NOTE: Following careful consideration and due process, the LCRB is terminating a backlog of incomplete and/or unsupported CRS applications. Those who have had their applications terminated will be notified.
