Promoting Strategies for Early literacy


French Immersion, District-level initiative, Fraser Valley Region, 2016-2017


Our French helping teacher worked to support early primary teachers on promoting strategies for improving literacy. She worked in two schools with a group of three teachers in each school.  The teachers had the opportunity to work together, to watch model lessons, to collaborate with others.  They received resources and learned to use a new way to evaluate reading. 


The outcomes were positive. Our teachers developed strategies to engage students in their learning.
