School District 63 - Keating Elementary

Project Status: Occupied

City/Town: Saanichton

Project Scope:  This project includes seismically upgrading and adding classrooms to the existing Keating Elementary facility. One part of the school does not meet the Province’s seismic building requirements and will be upgraded. Instead of portables, four new classrooms will be built for use as swing space during construction and will then accommodate students in the long term. The addition will give the elementary school 100 more student spaces. The seismic upgrade at Keating Elementary will result in seismically safer schools for students and increased classroom capacity for future enrolment growth.

Estimated Project Value:  $7.92 million
