Trades Equivalency

District personnel should use the credit recognition list to help evaluate and assign appropriate equivalency credits for documented coursework and work experience for adult students.

Credit recognition

A prior learning assessment (PLA) can be used to grant credits towards graduation. Districts can charge a PLA fee to students for each course recognized. Credit recognition (including PLAs) is not eligible for funding – find out more about course funding eligibility:
