Visitor entries to B.C. from the U.S. and overseas declined in October (-1.7%, seasonally adjusted), reversing a 0.9% boost recorded in September. Entries from overseas sources were down 1.5% and travel to B.C. from the U.S. also slowed (-1.9%).
Overall travel to Canada inched down 0.2% in October. Visits from the U.S. were 0.2% lower, while travel from overseas sources was unchanged (+0.0%) from the previous month. Meanwhile, the number of Canadians returning home from abroad decreased 0.6%.
